Hi Roshan,
Any progress on your cargo?I have been served a notice by ‘leaders relocation’ from Dubai to either pay up their dues, not paid by ‘Galaxy movers’ to them (which I am not in a position to) or be prepared to be blacklisted from UAE as they will register a case against me (as an owner of goods) after selling off and disposing whatever cant be sold of my cargo. I am helpless. There is nothing in the legal system here in Australia that I can resort to since I have no contract with any Australian company. It’s a dead end for me. Hope you are able to salvage your goods.

Uday

Hello there,
since you have no direct relation with Leaders Relocation they cannot file a case against you, since you could track down the shipment is with leaders you can write to Chamber of Commerce Dubai | Dubai Economic Development Department about your situation and the threatening mail. in fact since Leaders is holding your consignment they are answerable to the Dubai authorities. they may be holding the shipment due to nonpayment by Galaxy, for that you have no role in it as far you are concerned you have paid Galaxy the complete amount and you have nothing to do with Leaders.

I’m going to go to Doha. Is there any way I can help you with? And how big was your cargo and how long it was with them to charge Qr21000 from you. This is pretty valuable info if you can provide to me urgently.

Hi Roshan,
Apologies for the late reply. I have given up all hopes. All I need is peace of mind and am fed up with the threatening emails I keep receiving from ‘Leaders Relocation’ of Dubai- threatening disposal of my goods if they are not paid their dues supposedly not paid to them by ‘Galaxy movers’ and also the storage charges incurred so far- all this to the tune of 5000Qr. The Original amount charged by ‘Galaxy movers’ was 2900Qr for the door to door delivery of my consignment, which I paid in full when they collected my consignment from Qatar on 7th April. I further paid 360 AUD to ‘Kings & Wilson’ in Australia on 6thJune towards ‘clearance’ and door delivery charges. If I were to buy all my goods, that I haven’t received yet, anew in Australia I would end up spending about 8000 AUD.
I have lived without my goods for the last 4 months bearing the cold weather of Melbourne (coming from Qatar) and have assumed its lost at sea but the frustration caused trying to and spending money on calling Galaxy movers in Qatar, inquiring for possible justice in Australia, writing emails to concerned government websites in Qatar and UAE without getting any response and the constant harassment from ‘Leaders Re-locations’ is something I do not wish to take any longer.
Hope somehow(?) justice prevails.
regards,
Uday

I gave my household effects in Qatar for transportation to Australia on the 7th of April 2014 to ‘Galaxy movers‘ My cargo was supposed to reach in 60 days and its more than 120 days and I haven’t received my Cargo yet. Incidentally ‘Galaxy movers’ sublet my Cargo to a company in Dubai and they in turn sent it to Australia.’Galaxy movers’, it seems, has not paid money to this Dubai company and so the Dubai company has held my Cargo in Australia. My Cargo is lying in a warehouse in Australia with the Australian agents working with the Dubai company and wont release it till they get clearance from Dubai company to do so. ‘Galaxy movers’ are not reachable anymore on all their phone numbers nor are they replying back to emails.

I wish to warn people about this shipping company. My nightmare with this company began in July.
Nixon Chacko came to my home in Qatar during June 2013 to give 3 quotations for my 2 shipments, one with 17 boxes to Cape Town, South Africa and one with 2 boxes to Shenzhen, China, and my sister’s shipment to Ras Al Khaima, UAE. Delivery time promised, 4 working days.
We were told that they would supply boxes and bubble-wrap my Samsung TV. Whilst packing we ran out of boxes and phoned to get more, problems started here. On the day of collection people who could not speak a word of English and without company overalls arrived without bubble-wrap and the promised extra boxes. I wrapped my TV with an extra duvet.
On the day of your departure from Qatar Nixon finally arrived with the 2 promised boxes and to collect his money.
Cape Town delivery:
After many e-mails and phone calls to enquire about my shipment, the airway bill number I managed to get a tracking number from Cape Town customs; my shipment was in Istanbul, Turkey. I phoned Nixon to ask about the delivery date and I was told by him that my shipment was already in Cape Town, clearly a lie. When my shipment finally arrived in Cape Town, a week later and 5 weeks after my departure from Qatar, I was told by the delivery company in Cape Town that Nixon did not pay them. Many e-mails and phone calls to Nixon was replied to with and lies, lies and more lies. It took almost weeks to transfer money to the company in South Africa! It took 6 weeks to get this shipment from Qatar to my house in Cape Town!
Ras Al Khaima delivery:
I don’t have all the details of the timeline, but all I can say on behalf of my sister is that this was a nightmare experience. She paid for air shipping and the shipment arrived on a truck all the way from Qatar, through Saudi Arabia. Boxes were damaged by water, this clearly happened in the storage facility in Qatar, and some of the damaged boxes were open. Clothes that were in the damaged boxes were completely ruined and was thrown away. A number of Items were also stolen. The total amount of damage was about 5000 QR! Agape/Nixon would not compensate her for the loss and simply said they have never has such a problem and they don’t know how this happened.
Shenzhen delivery:
On the day when Nixon came to give a quotation he said that he had an agent here in Shenzhen. I e-mailed Nixon during the last week of October 2013 I asked him to send my 2 boxes. After 3 weeks I asked for the airway bill number and nothing came. Many e-mails later and no action, finally got an e-mail and Nixon said that there is a problem with customs. A few e-mails later and I got the contact number of the so called agent in Shenzhen. I phoned this so-called agent and he said that he got an e-mail from Nixon a week earlier but told him that he does not do personal effects. Nixon clearly lied about having an agent here. I managed to find a company who would help me and decided to e-mail their details to Nixon. Many e-mails were exchanged and my shipment finally arrived in China 6 weeks after my request. Nixon told this company that he would not pay them because they are too expensive. I paid Nixon for door-to-door delivery and now I am left here in China to arrange delivery and customs fees.
Stay far away from this company! After they have taken your money, you will have endless stress.

This is about the Galaxy Movers in Qatar..my experience is worse than that of Ms.Lynnette Le Grange. I handed over the shipment to them 25th May 2014 to move to Australia, since then the shipment moved up to Jebel Ali only, and now these guys are no where to be found. Please read my email to the main website who provided the contact of these thieves. But I will not give this up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Roshan,
We also were ripped off by these people on June 4th for 2 shipments bound for the US. Have you received any information regarding the proprieters of the business? 3 partners and the main Qatari partner is Mohammad Abdullah P. Al Thani and a man named Shishul stole the cash and supposedly left Qatar. The other people that work there are now under a travel ban according to my contacts in Qatar. Galaxy Movers have over QR500,000 in outstanding payments for shippments in Jebal Ali port. Please let me know if you have any information. We need a picture of Shishul to circulate. I have pictures of the movers that I am willing to circulate on any forum that would be able to help our cause.

Dear Uday, Sorry to hear about this. You all must me suffering a lot without your stuff specially during the winter.
We too face the same with regard to communication with these guys.
I with my family came to my country after handing over my stuff to Galaxy Movers and were planning to move to Australia on 22nd July but we had to postpone the date to 30th and now to 14th Aug after realising they are cheating us. I am still not sure whether we will be able travel on 14th too. My kids are missing the schools to since April 2014. Now the issue in my case is worse than your case. They have sent my cargo only to Dubai and they went missing without giving the original documents which cause that no one including me can clear the cargo from the Dubai custom. We have to clear the cargo from Dubai custom because they consigned my cargo only to Dubai but not to Sydney and that made the onward move further difficult. They also did not consign my cargo to me but to some other company in Dubai (i.e. Tusk Int’l) who is also in danger facing been black listed because they cannot clear these shipments. One officer of that company mentioned two shipments came to Dubai with similar issue that of mine. Is it the same company who involved in Dubai for your company? About when your cargo was there Dubai and when it has left Dubai.
About ten of my friends and one of my cousin are still following up/searching for these guys in Doha and in the meantime since I haven’t gone that far I have decided to turn around and go back to Doha to sort this out. I am arranging the visa at the moment. I thought its only me whom been cheated by this team of crooks and didn’t know they have cheated more people. If you provide me some more info with regard to your cargo and yourself, it may be useful for both you and me, if I will get the visa to go there. Last week one of them had started answering the phone has mentioned that they will sort out ALL issues by 12th this August so to wait. I am not sure whether they are going to runaway completely by that day 😦 .
And isn’t there in Australia a way to sue these guys/Company in Qatar for doing this? Now in your case there will be high demurrages for delay. To be frank if I had been in your situation I would have paid and cleared the shipment because its almost at your door step and DEAL THOSE GUYS in a different way.
if you don’t mind provide me your info such as contact in Australia etc apart from info wrt to cargo.
Keep in touch

Dear Uday and Roshan,
We too continue to try and track these guys down. I have their names, phone numbers, their sponsor’s name, and pictures of the moving crew including Mohammed Saleh and Ajith Kumar. They told us they would clear the shipments by the 15th. They lied. Riteways Cargo is the freight forwarder in our case and have contacted us directly as they cannot reach anyone from Galaxy Movers. I know that most of them remain in Qatar and have a travel ban placed on them. The man named Sushil is being blamed for emptying the accounts and leaving the country, However I was told this prior to July 22nd so they are clearly still doing business and preying on others. Rightways Cargo is demanding QR21,000 to send the shipment forward. They were not given the bill of loading by Galaxy Movers. They sent us copies of our inventory, the version Galaxy Movers provided and the list is completely different than our real inventory. My husband is returning to Qatar to file a police report and initiate a law suit. Since there is over QR500,000 outstanding there must be many people that are in our same situation. We should coordinate our efforts and go after them. The Qatari sponsor Mohammed Abdullah Al-Thani, is responsible for this company and the people that work for him, If they break the law, then the responsibility falls at his feet. Tusk Int. is the mother company of Galaxy Movers I believe. We have an email from Tusk Int. using “sales@galaxymovers.com” from somebody in Sharjah – this is VERY very suspicious!!! This is international organized crime and I am sure the media would love to tear Qatar apart for allowing such business practices. I am filing a complaint with the Federal Maritime Commission and will not rest until this is resolved in a satisfactory manner. If you would like to collaborate please join me.
I have created a facebook group called “Pirates of Arabia – Ripped Off in Qatar” we should try and connect with the others that have been victims. Please share any and all information there so we can reach a wide audience.

I’m ready to group with anybody or group through which these guys can be brought in front if law suit and claim our damages.
I’m planning to visit Qatar back to find a solution for this soon. When is your husband is returning to Qatar for this? Please share their details if you don’t mind so it will be helpful for me too at the time of dealing with Qatar police with this regard. We all must tie up the grip on these guys the Gslaxy Overs team in particular. And I have had also contact with one guy from Tusk, who appears to help me to get the cargo released and forward to Australia. Since my cargo is consigned to that company the burden is on them for that though the real loss rest on my pocket at the end.
I checked history of my communication with these guys and noticed that it is Sushil who had used that email ID sales@galaxy….. So he is still alive or put in his hands through Tusk? And where is this Federal Maritime Commission?
I’m sure we all can get together and voice loud to Qatar authorities to resolve this to our satisfaction. I will not stand down until I see an end for this.

Hi Roshan,
Here is the information I have gathered so far:
Galaxy movers is registered to a Mohammed Abdullah Al Thani as the owner. http://qatarchamber.com/site/qmem/mem_search_res.php?src_txt=galaxy+movers
My husband has chatted with Mohammed Saleh who works for Galaxy Movers: +974.7003.3555
Ajith Kumar is the person that myself and my husband have paid on 5 different occasions for moving materials, the deposit for the 20 foot container shipment, the payment for loading and final delivery of the container to our home, and for an air shipment consisting of 13 boxes. In all, we have given this company QR32,640 ($8942.46) and they have not shipped the air shipment, nor paid the authorized freight exporter the fees necessary for the container to travel to our home in the US.
Today, we have received another call from “Ali Asgar” at a company called “Rightway Freight Services .Co.WLL” They are claiming to be the people who actually exported the container and are demanding payment of QR21161 to send the container forward from the Bahamas or face demurrage charges while they wait for Galaxy Movers to pay them. My husband also was copied accidentally on an email from Radha Krishnan, Business development Manager for a “Tusk International Group” Po Box : 12291, Sharjah, UAE, Tel:+971 6 5527668, Fax: 971 6 5527669, Mob : +971 529989253. This person was using a galaxy movers email address to request a quote from rightway freight regarding ANOTHER shipment on August 12th so they are still actively taking money for shipments from unsuspecting individuals even though the company phones are no longer being answered and no one is reachable via email, sms, or their offices because we’ve had several friends go to their offices to attempt contact. The company employees know they’re bankrupt yet continue to take in new business. Somebody has to stop them!
If you know your container number, you can use the link below to find out where it’s at.

Dear Moët
Thank u for information.
In my case I cannot track my cargo by container number because it’s LCL and the container number that took my cargo to Dubai seems to be arriving in Chaina shortly. But my cargo is in Dubai according to Radha krishnan and the agent, a company called Polsestar International Shipping.
Did you or anybody go or are going to go to Qatar to track these guys closely or for legal proceedings?
Thank u once again for proving this info.

Hi Roshan,
Radha Krishnan is a person who accidentally copied my husband on an email to “Rightway Freight Services” requesting a quote using a “Tusk International Group” company in his email signature but sent the email from “sales@galaxymovers.com”. This man is definitely part of this group of criminals who are taking payments and shipments without paying the forward freight fees.

Hi
Its been a little while since I had a chance to write to this.
I went to Qatar but could not do much than just communicating two guys from Galaxy (Asif Ibrahim, who claims was an employee and resigned by now and another guys claimed to be one of the partner) and I managed to arrange a letter that was a request from North Ocean Company, the shipping company that took my cargo to Dubai using one of its agent in Dubai. They claimed that as per the document I don’t have any authority/claim for the cargo so I have to obtain that letter from Galaxy, and they were that generous to issue the letter so I have to repay whole amount and carry the cargo to my initially intended destination, i.e. Sydney.
Now, after I made my mind even to pay whole amount from Doha to Sydney again, another claim popped up from one of the company in Dubai. They are claiming a huge amount as their storage charges from the day they deconsoled my cargo from the container until for 58 days (till 4th Sep) claiming they stored the goods in one of the third party warehouse. They claim QR17000 for 58 days as just storage charges. On top of that I also have to pay freight from Doha to Sydney (the amount I initially paid to Galaxy includes even the local charges in Sydney) and local charges in Sydney, if I need MY GOODS in Sydney.
See the world, and where is the justice? I was there in Qatar for four days but I could not even to lodge a complain in Qatar police, who advised me to proceed to Public Prosecution and they said I must file a court case for this. There is no anything before running to court for these matters in Qatar. Whether the matter is big or small the place is court for Qataries. I was there for nearly ten years in Qatar and thanks God nothing like this happen before this. If so I would have ended nowhere by now because it seems that Qatar’s Police and legal system is not sure what to do with a set of crooks like this.
We have to get together and collect all the voices behind this, we all were cheated by this gang of crooks and the concern authorities do not have any good law to catch these guys and bring the justice for those suffered by their violent acts.
Now these companies in Dubai too are in the same boat and trying suck the hot blood of those who come forward to claim the shipments because they are facing lot of problems in recovering some of the costs they incurred by serving to Galaxy on credit basis. They had been friends or partners in terms of business giving jobs to each other by all of them. That has been the reason even we are also in trouble today. They had given credit to Galaxy and accepted these cargos by credit terms and when their payments were not made by Galaxy they take our goods to their custody. And they stored our cargos and waited Galaxy to be better and pay their charges one day but things went wrong and Galaxy did not get any better and did come up with any blood so those companies in Dubai now seeking to suck our blood, because we are the people who ultimately need those goods, they know we have hidden our and our family’s emotional memories of many years in those boxes. So they blackmail us for that.
Do anyone you know where we can find the justice.

UNPROFESSIONAL THIEVES _ STAY AWAY.
I have the misfortune of using this company. I share what many other’s had experienced. We too have goods stolen and damaged piano. NO customer service after we signed, can’t contact them on all channels. We bought insurance from them…but it was worth nothing! They are eager to sell insurance but dont want to know when you have a problem. They have all sort of excuses when we make the claim. We managed only to get a small approved claim AUD$168…it will cost USD$50 to do a bank transfer!
All I can do now is to post as many post on the web to warn people away from them. And send the post links to them to make sure they know we are helping others to NOT engage in biz with thieves!.

Very disappointed with KINGS MOVERS in SOUTH AFRICA. Moved us from South Africa to Singapore. They clearly had no idea on the timelines required to get our stuff to us in time, and we spent 2 weeks sleeping on the floor waiting for everything to arrive. It was compounded by liquour in the shipment and cooincided with a long weekend – but they shoudl have foreseen this, and planning the departure and shipping date accordingly. After highlighting their aparent lack of foresight, they chose not to respond…..This would not have been a necessary post, had they simply responded and said “Sorry, out bad”.

I have recently had a very bad experience with Links Moving Company in Hong Kong. To make a long story short, I was taken in by a competitive quote with the verbal confirmation over the phone that it was for door to door. Not only did they misquote by 50% but in the end it did not include delivery to my home which I am now asked to pay their partner company in Canada another $450. Furthermore, my numerous calls went unanswered for weeks… DO NOT USE LINKS MOVING COMPANY in Hong Kong!

I would like to share our story with everyone! We hired New York Van Lines Inc – Brooklyn, NY and it was not not a pleasant experience, and we learned a few life lessons in the meantime.
We all like to provide tips for great customer service, right? But during the first few minutes of the moving company arriving (on the load and again, at unload time), comments were made about providing a tip, before service was offered. I thought this was strange.
Maybe I am wrong, but do you tip $200 or more? This is what I feel may have been a catalyst to this whole story:We lost boxes (never showed up), my new TV showed up with a cracked screen, and my 4ft vase (2 inches thick of ceramic was cracked in 2 pieces), and my desk showed up in 5 pieces. I have pictures to show how the truck showed up at my door. There are other items that showed up damaged as well.
The response from the company manager is the standard company line “we are not responsible for customer packed boxes”, and then talk about insurance at 60 cents for each pound, etc. We can file a claim (but again, minus all of the customer packed boxes, which most reasonable people typically do) and I have no ability to claim for the boxes I lost.
So, my point is this: If customers pack their own boxes, as best as possible, and somehow the boxes are not properly loaded onto the truck, does the company have any responsibility for the actions of its employees? I have pictures to show anyone the condition that my stuff arrived in. Crushed and ripped boxes, TV box leaning at a weird angle.
When a company has on it website “Your needs are important to us and your satisfaction is guaranteed.”, but when you attempt to communicate to your concerns, the manager tells you that she is too busy to talk with you”, what impression should I take from this?
The company states they are not responsible for damage to particle board furniture, but then my desk shows up broken in 5 pieces? Really, how does this happen?
It seems the the moving industry has federal laws that protect them, which I understand.
I can only state perception is reality. We got what we paid for, and I humbled by this experience.
But what about CUSTOMER SERVICE? The website states satisfaction is guaranteed (go check it out yourself, unless it gets changed). Well, this customer was not….
(I am still waiting for a response from BBB, not from filing any claims, but due to lack of concern and customer service.)
On the plus side of my story, let me tell you that the sales person I worked with (Angie) did a great job, and I am very proud to call her name out as an excellent employee. She answered my emails (many of them, during the initial calls), she calmed my nerves, and was there to listen to me vent. I can also say that Alma (dispatcher) did her best to help me better understand the moving process and the timeline it takes to move my stuff.
I wanted to get my stuff down there in 4 days (thinking from the time it was loaded, that I would get my stuff 4 days later), but it took 10 business days. I am upset, but I understand there are other customer’s stuff on the truck as well.
I was given the number to contact the owner of this company. I attempted 3 times to contact the owner. First time, I was able to leave a VM message. My 2nd and 3rd attempts? Well, let’s just say either my cellphone number was blocked or else something else occurred to get a “this number is not accepting incoming phone calls”. REALLY?
What owner of any type of business would not want to be open to hear the pros (or cons) about his business. Customer Service is what drives return business, right? I feel disappointed that maybe the owner does not know what is happening, and the only way to vent is to tell about my experiences. Again, this is my experience. You may have the greatest experience with the company. My family did not.
In addition my motorcycle was forgotten in NYC (because it was not on the inventory sheet, which, yes, I signed… READ ALL the paperwork before signing). I decided to find a alternate motorcycle transport company to move my bike. Otherwise, it would have taken another 2 weeks to get the bike. The motorcycle moving company was very leary with the storage location of the bike, and my motorcycle moving company did comment that the storage person stated that “he did not have to give the bike back, because it was not on the paperwork”. Hearsay or not, that is what was stated to me, so take that for what it is worth. If you want to contact me, please let me know, and I would be happy to share photos and documented audio conversations I had with NY VAN Lines.
Words of wisdom that was passed to me (and this person is very familiar with my incident):
“If you need to move, do it yourself, and do not hire a moving company.”

Dear Everyone,
Please be advised and aware that CCU Logistics should never be used for your moves. They broke nearly all of my goods, failed to complete the move and then refused to compensate me for any of the damage. I was moving back to the USA and paid CCU logistics for a door to door move. When the shipment got to a port in the USA, I was told that CCU did not pay the appropriate agents and I was forced to pay even more thousands of dollars and arrange for the final delivery of goods myself.
When my goods arrived, the boxes marked “fragile” were crushed, on the bottom of the pallet.
After contacting CCU logistics, they promised to compensate me for the additional amount, but never did. They refused to take any responsibility for the packing.

If you value your goods, do not ever use this company. There are many other reliable options available.
