My review is about Right way Shipping based in Sharjah and who operate in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Beware, don’t even talk to them or think of engaging their services be it in India or UAE.
Pathetic service, very dishonest, arrogant and words cannot describe the mental torture and the physical/monetary loss that they will cause.

We moved from Dubai to Ghana in West Africa in January this year. We did two shipments, fortunately the first one was through another mover and it was the perfect experience. Since my husband’s company was not paying for the 2nd one which involved shipping our car, just to save a few thousand Dirahms, we engaged Rightway shipping after hearing all their sweet talks and promises to pack well, safe shipment without any issues, timely delivery etc.

Once we sent the goods, there is no update from their end. we have to keep writing to them, calling them from Ghana (imagine the international calling costs) to find out when the goods would arrive. They had contracted a local company in Ghana and sent us their address/numbers saying that this company will do the customs clearance and deliver the goods. Finally the goods arrived and when we follow up and follow up for the delivery, the local company informs us that they are still waiting for the payment from Rightway only after which they will clear the goods. Our goods are lying in the port, demurrage has started and still there is no response from Rightway when we have paid the entire money upfront in advance to them. They are keeping our money and not even paying their agent.

We had to finally pay again from our pocket to release our goods as it was stuck situation.
Pay the customs, demurrage, local delivery charges. It was a big big big loss. The packing was super bad quality, so materials were damaged. Overall worst experience.
Even today after 11 months of moving to Ghana, i am still following up – sending emails/making phone calls to recover the money we have spent (which we have already paid Rightway for all these services). There must be some kind of review board for such movers and these reviews should be published popularly so other customers don’t fall into their trap and lose their money and peace of mind.

The person who was liasing with us was a guy called Ajoy, whose true color one can know only after they put us into the mess. Absolutely zero customer service and 100% cheats.
Please beware of the company and their individuals.

We are a limited liability company doing business for the last 8 years in the UAE and India. We have so far done more than 4000 international relocations.90% of them are to Canada,US and Europe. We are official vendors of International Organizations, Consulates, Embassies, Star Hotels,Multi National companies and many other Govt and Semi Govt organizations.
Daharini Suresh used our service for relocation of her car from Dubai to Tima Ghana. She had moved some goods a few months earlier through another forwarder that is known to us. When asked why she is not using them the answer was that the service received was “miserable and expensive”.
We have contacted the forwarder to get some information regarding the client so that we can avoid similar mistake committed by the other mover. Usually the employer provides shipping charges for a 20 footer or 40 footer and will be for a single shipment only. Dharini Suresh wanted to ship her car in a 20 foot container. Our move consultant during survey suggested that she could take few household goods along with the vehicle inside the 20 foot container. She was very pleased and wanted to ship few items along with the vehicle.
On the day of move, she wanted to accommodate more household items than initially agreed and started yelling at the packers. The behavior was so humiliating that at one point our crew members even refused to continue with the packaging.
The household goods were moved to our ramp early afternoon and we were expecting Mrs.Dharini Suresh to deliver her vehicle for loading. We had a customs inspection for Mrs.Dharini Suresh’s shipment. Our office close at 5 pm. We started calling up Mrs.Dharini Suresh but she did not show up until 6 pm in the evening.
We started loading the household and the volume of the goods were more than the available space. Mrs.Dharini started yelling again. Finally after so much of effort and repackaging the goods was loaded full capacity of a 20 foot container. We completed the loading at 8:30 pm. Mr.Suresh was a gentleman and understandable as well. Most of the negotiations were done however by Mrs.Dharini Suresh.
Our payment terms to first time customer is 100% advance. When approached for payment we were given part payment and the other part in the form of a post dated cheque.
There is an unusual delay at the destination port in Ghana due to of volume of cargo arrive that more than the port capacity. The clearance procedure is also a bit slow. The cargo also needs to move overland from the port of entry to the final destination. Due to these factors the time consumed for final delivery could go up to three weeks or more.
Mrs.Dharini Suresh is aware of these factors while shipping her first consignment through the other forwarder. Therefore she made an unusual demand for a free period of 21 days from the shipping line at the destination prior to signing of the contract. We came to understand that because of the delay at destination, she was forced to pay liner and port storage and had issues with the other forwarder. She refused to pay the storage and demurrage to the forwarder that she agreed with them in the contract. This was the reason why she avoided the company she used to move the first consignment.
We have conveyed to Mrs. Dharini Suresh that the maximum free period allotment will be 14 days and we will negotiate with liner to get one week extra free period. However we have clearly indicated in our email that this will be subject to approval from the liner. The other mover and we were using the same shipping line to carry the cargo to Ghana. The shipping line refused our request for 21 days free period and the BL was printed with free period mentioned as 14 days.
Mrs. Dharini Suresh refused to confirm the BL and with much effort and negotiation with Mr.Suresh the BL was finally approved. Mrs. Dharini was very keen in getting the agent’s details at the destination prior to signing the contract. We have to and consigned the shipment to the agent on the BL as per liner requirement.
Mrs. Dharani Suresh the started to negotiate with the agent and managed to persuade them to charge us an extra amount of money that she wanted cover up towards the storage charges and some other extra service that she wanted at the destination. We were forced to change the agent after BL was confirmed by making amendment charges to the liner.
Mrs. Dharini then started demanding a reimbursement of US 350 towards storage charges. We were then threatened of writing reviews on the internet. As per company policy we will not entertain any such threats. When we noticed that she wrote some reviews we informed her of the legal consequence according to the UAE cyber crimes law. We decided to allow sufficient time to reply to her review to make her understand that we are strong enough to face such threats and still successfully doing our business.
Despite of our notice she continued with her article and we were forced to take legal action against her. Whoever is using similar websites for writing reviews against business establishment kindly note the UAE law and punishment concerning such offenses. You could be arrested at any GCC Airports.

Article- 20 & Article- 16 of the UAE federal Cyber Crimes Law no (5) of 2012 which stipulates” Shall be punished by imprisonment for a period of two years at most and a fine not less than two hundred fifty thousand dirhams and not in excess of five hundred thousand dirhams or either of these two penalties whoever uses a computer network or information technology means to extort or threaten another person to force him to engage in or prevent him from engaging in a certain act.
The punishment shall be imprisonment up to ten years if the subject of threat is to commit a felony or engage in matters against honor or morals”

I have recently used them(Bridgeway) to move my furniture to Austria and it is more of a mixed review. In terms of packing, they are professional and organized. In terms of the shipping, it was not a pleasant experience. I was told the lead time for shipping was 6 to 8 weeks however, their agents in the UK took an extra month over the 8 week mark to deliver the shipment. Their freight forwarders have also mishandled boxes labelled fragile resulting in some broken crockery.

There is also an open claim with regards to the cbm actual vs. estimated that we are waiting to see whether we will be reimbursed or not. I will write a follow up review once we get an answer from them.

    • I’m taking the time to write a review for Bridgeway Relocation in Dubai just because they deserve a good on for the great job they did.
My wife and myself decided to move back to New York from Dubai, Bridgeway came in September, disassembled tables, kitchen, bedroom, sofa and other stuff, packed them into appropriate boxes, bubble wrap them properly to the wine glass, took it to warehouse, shipped it to NYC, I received it after 60 days, the moves here dropped it off and put it together, like real pros.

I really appreciate this, especially that i was sure that something wrong was going to happen, even thinking they might be a scam and they steel it or something.

I was communicating with Shiju, I payed for insurance that I did not need, yet all that service, door to door, was about $3000. I tried shipping it by plane, but that was going to be impossible to pay for.

I advise you to stay with them and guide them trough your stuff and how to pack it, keep an eye on all the process of packing and unpacking.

We used Writers Movers out of Dubai to China. It was a horrible experience.
    1. They tried to change our quote after we signed the document.
    2. They had no communication within their own office and didn’t bring packing materials they had promised.
    3. They did not get the shipment they had promised which made the shipment 2 months later.
    4. They did not set up the shipment so that there was enough storage time at the destination.
    5. At the destination (China), they had no idea when the shipment would be in.
    6. We were not informed when the shipment had been released so we had to pay for storage,
    7. They have a policy of not telling charges ahead of time.
    Don’t use this company!
They are know for giving a low quote and then charging double when it is too late to change.

Two year backs I transferred my house hold items from Ras al Khaimah, UAE to Doha qatar by Ruby Cargo, Rak. My god it is too horrible. Most of the valuable items are stolen by the people who did the packing, All the cargo boxes found in a breakage state, I got the cargo delayed by may 20 days in Doha and 90 days in india. There was no cross information about the status of the cargo, The officials at Ruby cargo never used to tell us the correct information and finally they stopped the picking of the phones too. any way it’s was a bad experience for me.

We recently moved from Ras al khaimah to Fujairah, choosing SSG Movers. We selected them partly due to their reasonable quote but also their reassurance that everything would be looked after and well protected. They also reassured us that the move would take place using closed vans.
Our experience was extremely disappointing, We had to watch the packers at all times otherwise they were loading things on the van without any protection. Many items suffered unnecessary scratches and dents as a result. Items such as lamp shades were squashed into boxes and as a result are now misshaped. Packing materials were plastic wrap and old (holey) blankets, very little bubble wrap was used even though this was promised.

The movers were not careful bringing items down stairs and a wall, banister and ceilings suffered damage. The supervisor had the nerve to tell us the damage was there before and would not accept responsibility. The moving staff were obliging, but very poorly trained.

They miscalculated the number of vans needed and had to call on an open van at the last minute.

My wife was extremely upset with the experience. At the end of the move I spoke to the supervisor to express our disappointment and after pressing him repeatedly he eventually offered an apology. I spoke to his manager by mobile and he offered me 300 Dhs discount.
I cannot recommend this company and would definitely not use them again.

We moved to Hong Kong last month from Dubai.
Like all companies the one here in HK wanted us to gain three quotes for our shipping.
I had Crown, GAC and Interem quote me for a 20ft container.
They each sent the quotes and I forwarded them to HR in HK.
They chose Interem as it was the cheapest.
I had heard they were slow but got the job done!
I had arranged an onsite evaluation with one of their sales agent, who told me I had 23cbm.
    Since a 20ft container is 30cbm, I knew I was ok.
They had quoted me for a full 20ft container prior to the on sight survey so thought I was covered.
Remember i had three quotes for a ‘full container’.
I called the Interem office, who had been terrible at answering emails and calls, and asked the sales associate to give me a ETA for our shipment and was told 5 to 6 weeks and then customs clearance.
So I diligently sat down and planned the move, as we wanted to go on holiday to chile first and then go to HK.
So I timed the delivery to first week in August as packing was 21 and 22 of June!
The packers came and took two days to pack, I have moved 8 times and it never took so two days. My son and I had to pack 20 or so boxes our selves as we had flights to catch next day to chile
Then two days later we get an email asking us to pay extra! that we had 27cbm not 23cbm so had to pay more, however the original quote was for a full container
While on holiday a week later in Chile I receive an email from Interem telling me my shipment was due to arrive in HK 5 July and to be delivered 10th
    What!!!!
The girl on the phone had given me wrong information.
Now we were in a mess.
So now we had to organise storage costs for a month!.
I tried to get Interem to take responsibilty but they do not reply to my emails.
Luckily the GM here in the hotel where my husband works is on good term with Asian tigers here in HK who are delivering our shipment and he kindly arranged free storage. Asian Tigers are brilliant.
However we were lucky to have this contact!

So Beware, they seem cheaper and they in the end cost more than both GAC and CRown. So go with the best Crown !
I have never had a problem with CROWN . I should have insisted on them this time.
Interem are unprofessional and lazy and should not be trusted.
If you are using them get all costs sorted out and check your own ETA with shipping line

I am currently in a similar situation with a company that are moving us from Dubai to Doha and intially they came to our house and estimated that the load will be between 25 to 30 cpm and would fit in a 10 ton truck (move by land) and I have paid them the full quotation amount up front and till we left from Dubai they were assuring us that all is allright and two days later when we arrieved in Doha they sent an e-mail and they told us that the shipment is now double and they want litrally double the amount even they are now using a bigger truck which is less than the cost of two 10T trucks and paying the border charges and documentation only once. They started there calculation for the full shipment using packing rates …etc. and they now ignored the original agreement and dectating the price they want else they will store the material and apply storage charges on top and they do not want to send a convicing build up of the rates based on the original quotation. Is there any Moving organization that they can see the facts and decides the new rate based on our original agreement or I have to go to consumer protection and Dubai courts because I now feel that we are traped. I tried to reason with them but invain. Any one please advise.

I used the services of Quick Movers lately and though I might use this website in the future, I rate the mentioned moving company 1 on a scale of 5. Staff unprofessional and too few, coming with too little boxes and used my boxes and bags, expressed fatigue after one hour from starting to pack, mixing kitchen and living room and bathroom utensils in the same box etc. They wanted to put cabinets in the truck without dismantling them,
there should be rating for these companies to assist customers into choosing the best ones.
