How to ship my car from Dubai

Documents required Exporting your car out of the UAE.

1. Original Export Certificate | RTA /Police Paper.

2. Shipper passport and residence copy

3. destination country Resident Visa copy (if you are not a citizen of the destination country)

For Companies:       Valid  Trade License copy & Import Export code

Procedure to obtain Export Certificate in DUBAI:

If  your vehicle registration is valid , follow below-given procedures

1. Remove your vehicle Number plates at the RTA or Tasjil
2. Make copy of your Passport and Driver’s License
3. Fill the application Form , get the token  & wait for your turn -:

• When you go to the counter with all the above documents. request them you want to Export the car to your destination country , also you have to request for Export number plates.
• They may ask you to bring export insurance ( if the car registration is still valid and you want to export the car your name. then you may not need insurance)
• If you want a moving company to transport your car ,then tell them to put Moving companies name in the Export certificate.

(In remarks Column: – Shipping Company’s name in Arabic )

• They will give Export Certificate
• The next step is to go to the Number Plate factory (which should be inside the same building)  to get “Export Number Plates”.
• Fix them on the car and bring your car to our office; the rest we will do

Note:-  Your Export plates in Dubai are valid for 2 weeks. Please remember your export insurance will only cover your car for third party accidents You do not need any additional insurance for export plates if your car registration is till valid and want to export the car in your name. You will need Export insurance if consignee is other than the

What if the vehicle registration is expired

If your vehicle registration is expired:

A. Take your car for inspection (Tell them you want Export Inspection)

B. Wait in the main hall and get your inspection result

C. Remove your vehicle Number plates

D. Buy Export insurance in the consignee name if you want Export plates

E. Make copies of registered owner’s driver’s license, and consignee passport

F. Fill the application Form

G. Take all above items and original vehicle registration card to the information counter to take a token H. Wait for your turn , and go to the counter with all above documents. Tell them you want to Export the car to your destination country. If you want us to transport your car then tell them to put our company name in the Export certificate.

I. They will give Export Certificate, and then go to the Number Plate factory which should be inside the same building to get Export plates. Fix them on the car and drive your car. Your Export plates in Dubai are valid for 2 weeks. Please remember your export insurance will only cover your car for third party accidents

A. Take your car for inspection (Tell them you want Export Inspection)

B. Wait in the main hall and get your inspection result

C. Remove your vehicle Number plates

D. Buy Export insurance in the consignee name if you want Export plates

E. Make copies of registered owner’s driver’s license, and consignee passport

F. Fill the application Form (You don’t need to fill any forms in Abu Dhabi)

G. Take all above items and original vehicle registration card to the information counter to take a token H. Wait for your turn , and go to the counter with all above documents.

Tell them you want to Export the car to your destination country. If you want a Moving Company to transport your car then tell them to put Moving company name in the Export certificate. They will ask the Moving  company name in Arabic. Call the Moving  to text you their company name in Arabic.

I. They will give you Export Certificate, then go to the Number Plate factory which should be inside the same building to get Export plates. Fix them on the car and drive your car. Your Export plates in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah are valid for 96 hours. Please remember your export insurance will only cover your car for third party accidents.
